Lekha
How it worksBlogGet started →

Two types of service. Both simple.

Lekha handles Startup Advisory directly. For audit, tax, GST, company law, CFO services, and everything else — we connect you with the right verified professional on our panel.

Handled by Lekha

Lekha does the work directly

For Startup Advisory services — DPIIT recognition, ESOP design, financial modelling & valuation, and investor readiness — Lekha's own team handles everything. There is no professional referral, no middle layer, and no separate fee. You pay one fixed price to Lekha and receive the completed service.

We find and vet the right professional for you

Audit, income tax, GST, company registration, CFO services, insolvency, M&A advisory, NRI taxation, and wealth planning are delivered by verified CAs, CSs, Registered Valuers, and other professionals on Lekha's panel. Lekha verifies their registration, manages the introduction, and oversees the engagement — you deal directly with the professional.

01

Choose your service

Pick the category and service you need — GST filing, statutory audit, company registration, virtual CFO, and so on.

02

We match you with the right professional

Lekha identifies the verified CA, CS, Registered Valuer, or other expert on our panel who handles that specific service. You see their profile, registration details, and indicative fee before committing.

03

Professional confirms and engages

The professional reviews your requirement and confirms their fee. You both sign a formal engagement letter. The professional is your service provider for this engagement.

04

Work is delivered

The professional handles the engagement — filings, certifications, reports, or advice — directly with you. Lekha is available if any issue arises with the engagement.

What you pay — made simple

Payment 1

Professional's fee

Paid directly to your CA, CS, or expert. This is their standard service fee — Lekha never sees this money.

Payment 2

Lekha platform fee

Paid to Lekha. Covers professional vetting, matching, the engagement letter, and oversight of the engagement.

ℹ️

Why two separate payments? ICAI's professional code prohibits CAs and CSs from sharing their fees with any non-professional intermediary. So Lekha's fee must always be a separate amount for a separate service — it cannot be bundled with or deducted from what the professional earns. This protects the professional's independence and ensures compliance with their regulatory body.

What Lekha checks before empanelling a professional

Active registration

We verify the professional's registration with their regulatory body — ICAI for CAs, ICSI for CSs, IBBI for Registered Valuers, SEBI for merchant bankers — before empanelling them.

No disciplinary record

We check for active disciplinary proceedings or past adverse orders from the professional's regulator before adding them to the panel.

Relevant specialisation

We only assign a professional to a service within their demonstrated specialisation. A CA who practises income tax is not assigned to IBC filings.

Ongoing oversight

Lekha monitors engagement quality. A professional whose clients raise complaints, or whose work quality is below par, is removed from the panel.
